POSITION SUMMARY:
Leads the Quality Control team in determining the acceptability of flavor and fragrance raw materials and finished products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides effective leadership for the Quality Control team
Demonstrates expert knowledge of Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectral analysis.
Demonstrates expertise in sensory analysis; displays expert knowledge of raw material sensory characteristics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
Chemistry degree plus 5 years minimum experience in the flavor, fragrance, or food industry. Food Science or related degree may be considered. Must demonstrate leadership ability. Experience with Gas Chromatography and sensory analysis, with specific experience in the food, flavor and/or fragrance industry, required.

REASONING ABILITY: Demonstrates the ability to use sound reasoning and judgment to form an independent conclusion. Must be able to assess a complex situation, think clearly under pressure, and make logical and appropriate recommendations. Must be able to realize impact of recommendations on other departments and the company as a whole.
